height() function bugs on table cells belonging to an style.height=auto row

Reported by: shazam Assigned to: anonymous
Type: bug Priority: major
Milestone: 1.2.2 Component: core
Version: 1.2.1 Keywords:
Cc: Needs: Review

Description

When JQuery computes height of a DOM element it swaps its paddings and borders to zero first. This may sometimes change a cell display removing some automatic line breaks and if the parent row has auto height, its height will change and the cell height also.

If the swap on paddings and borders is commented the calculation works fine. So, what is the purpose of the swapping ?

Note : the bug occurred on both IE6 and IE7 but wasn't tested on other browsers.

I haven't tested it at all but is this perhaps related to #1796?
