Core Developers
The following people are in charge of maintaining jQuery and managing its day-to-day operations.
- John Resig - jQuery was originally developed by John, and is currently responsible for its active development. He released jQuery at Bar Camp NYC in January of 2006.
Contributors
A number of people have contributed to the jQuery by fixing bugs, writing documentation, or authoring plugins - these are just a few of all those that have helped.
- Audun Wilhemsen is an Opera employee, developing widgets with jQuery.
- Franck Marcia is a frequent contributor and plugin developer.
- Michael Geary was one of the first plugin developers for jQuery.
- Gilles van den Hoven has contributed a number of bug fixes and plugin contributions.
- Cody Lindley is a frequent blogger for CSS Beauty and the author of the Thickbox library.
- Klaus Hartl is the developer responsible for bringing jQuery to Plazes and is a frequent contributor.
- Stefan Petre is responsible for creating the popular Interface plugin.
- Yehuda Katz created the Visual jQuery documentation page and made many contributions to this wiki and the overall documentation.
- Will Jessup works at Kevo and has written several plugin's and demo's on his blog, such as the jQuery solar system
